France approves raise the minimum retirement age from 60 to 62 years

A French parliamentary committee yesterday approved

the Government's proposal to raise Nicolas Sarkozy minimum retirement age in the country from 60 to 62 in 2018, one of the main measures contained in the plan for pension reform presented by President French. Clause of the minimum retirement age has been one of the first measures adopted by the Social Affairs Committee of Parliament, which has already begun closed-door deliberations on pension reform unpopular French government. The legislation, aimed at revising a system of complicated and heavy retirement has tested the country's public finances, also plans to extend the working time for eligibility for full pension benefits and gradually increase the contributions of staff public to place their perceptions at the same level as those of private sector workers by 2020
